My name is Dan Adams, and I'm an independent songwriter and artist. My company, Broken Yellow Line Music, is a publisher and one stop shop for sync licensing my music. I own 100% of my publishing and all of the master recordings for my songs.
With over a decade as a songwriter and artist in Nashville, as well as nearly five years in Austin and the Texas music scene, I have an extensive catalog. I've been in the music business since the late 1990's and have released 10 albums and 4 EPs as an independent musician during that time. My music combines elements of country, Americana, R&B, and southern rock, with a soulful vocal that's often compared to singers like Gregg Allman, Chris Stapleton, and Edwin McCain.
My songs have been recorded by other artists in both Nashville and Texas, and I've had TV placements in “Army Wives” and “The Voice” - though, until recently, sync placements were not something I was pursuing.
In late 2024, I began organizing my catalog, logging all the metadata, and uploading my songs (along with alternate versions) to DISCO in order to seek placements.
My goal is to find a fit for my songs in your TV and film projects, and to make your life easier in your role as a music supervisor and decision maker.
As of early 2025, I'm still in the process of adding all of my back catalog and information into DISCO - as it's a large body of work. It takes time to do it right, as you know.
If you can't find what you're looking for in my current material, I'm available to create new, custom songs/instrumentals to fit the vibe and musical direction you're seeking. Please reach out, and I'd love to help you in any way I can.
