Born and raised in rural Georgia, Dan Adams has taken a winding journey with music.
Adams began performing 150+ club shows per year, and did so for 5 years before finally settling in Nashville. There he learned the craft of songwriting - working with the best songwriters in the world. Ultimately, he never found the right fit on Music Row.
After 10 years in Nashville, Adams began delving into the TX music scene. He soon realized that his indie spirit and genre-blending sound that hadn’t seemed to fit the Music Row mold seemed more welcome in TX. This prompted a move to Austin, and in Texas, he found his sound - blurring musical lines between TX country, southern rock, and singer-songwriter folk, while infusing vocal nuances of blue-eyed soul. Adams is often compared to gravelly, soulful singers like Chris Stapleton, Edwin McCain, and Gregg Allman. . .all of which he claims as influences.
In late 2017, he relocated back to the Southeast to be closer to family.
2024's "Life & Depth" draws on his recording experience in Nashville, Austin and Muscle Shoals. Produced, engineered, and mixed by Adams, the album showcases his talents as a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist.
In early 2025 came the release of the "Sparrow" EP showcasing 4 original songs that are each different stylistically - and pay homage to Adams' eclectic musical influences.
Most recently, in August of 2025, Dan Adams released "Solus" - a 15 song acoustic album recorded live in his living room. "Solus" has received acclaim for it's raw, stripped vibe and has become a favorite of longtime fans.
In addition to his work as an artist and songwriter, Adams also runs Broken Yellow Line Music - producing music for film and TV as well as advertising jingles.
